Woman in Red’ epitomises the celebration of life, love, freedom and eternal life. Her serenity, beauty and peacefulness is capturing.
One extremely lucky and exceptional home in Sandy Bay has one of the best private Steve Woodbury art collections. The art and home combined spin their own magic.
Steve Woodbury is a local artist who shows Internationally and locally and we are blessed to be able to call him one of our own, as he chooses to call Tassie home. Steve is an Abstract Expressionist painter. He is the only artist in the world using the ‘Qwerty’ system to express his works and second in the world to use gun powder!
Again, I am so fortunate to be representing Steve in art sales. The journey is exciting. It starts with introducing the art to a client, the client viewing the art in his or her own home, the framing process (thanks Jemima and Felix at Wagner’s Framing in Hobart) and then delivery and unveiling to the client. It is the passing on of a small part of the artists essence to reside with an others. The involvement and witnessing of this is an honour.
Please read the article by Jonathon Goodman below, gives an excellent insight into Steve’s work.

I am delighted and excited to me representing artist Ismet Jesenkovic with his art sales. This week we sold “Woman In Red”, she has gone to the best and most loved new home. It is extremely touching to be involved in the process of seeing a piece being born and delivered. Thank you Ismet for trusting me to join you on your journey. Such a privilege. Please see below the journey of conception to birth!
I was simply delighted when asked if one of my paintings of ‘I Am Modern Woman’ could be bought and placed in a dear friend and clients gym. I was then thrilled when asked for a one off painting to be done to sit along side of her, my first ‘I Am Man’ paintings. I am very proud of him and her and even more proud where they reside. A big thank you!!!
